Sometimes the best story happens off the field. A combined HS Division 1 and Division 2 team were up in Innisfail this past weekend (June 18-19) and brought home GOLD!  But read on… “So proud of you girls! But not just for the win. You were amazing mentors to a younger Sylvan Lake Storm team on Saturday. Watching them play, cheering them on, then letting them sit with you in the dugout while your game was still on! Those girls were so excited and proud to be adopted by West Hill! And after they taught you Fire Cracker, one little girl walked off saying “That was the best part of the tournament!” We are so proud of you West Hill!” Way to represent!

As one Sylvan Lake Mom said:  “we were beyond impressed with the sportsmanship you girls showed to our young team. They are still talking about that special moment and no doubt as mostly first year players, it will shape their memories for the rest of their softball careers. Well done ladies, your sweetness has left a lasting impact on those around. You deserved the win, as well as the sportsmanship award this weekend. Anytime you come to town, know you will have fans ready to cheer you on ⚾️ ❤️
